The neatly styled Cerato Sedan is adorned with a number of body-coloured fixtures that subtly enhance your paint finish of choice. These colour-coded features include bumpers and door handles, as well as heated, power-adjustable door mirrors. The vehicle is also embellished with smart-looking chrome touches – on its radiator grille surround and tailpipe, for example. Open one of four doors and you’ll spy five comfortable positions and an array of stowage spaces, including four cup-holders, a parcel shelf and a centre-console compartment. Open the tailgate and you’ll see a 502-litre boot, whose capacity increases further when 60/40 split-folding rear seats are dropped.

The Cerato has been awarded ANCAP’s maximum five-star crash-test rating, which has a lot to do with the range of passive and active safety features that are included as standard. Autonomous Emergency Braking is just one example - an indispensable piece of tech that significantly reduces the risk of low-speed collisions.
Modest fuel bills
Entry-level S Manual grades are typically installed with a standard-issue 2.0-litre petrol engine. Attached to a manual gearbox, this 112kW unit delivers fuel consumption from 7.6L/100Km and produces CO2 emissions from 135g/km. Paired with automatic transmission, a combined figure of 7.4L/100Km is achievable, while emissions drop as low as 130g/km.
Clever connectivity
A six-speaker sound system (with DAB radio and AM/FM tuner), AUX and USB inputs and Bluetooth connectivity are all included. Apple CarPlay and Android Audio feature too, allowing you to safely access your smartphone via the car’s eight-inch touchscreen display – which is yet another standard inclusion.
